I bet I've out mashgiached all of you!
Tomorrow I will be mashgiaching (supervising kosher stuff) from 9:30 to 7:30. The downside is that I'm stuck in Hillel for 10 hours, but the upside is that I don't really mind just hanging out in Hillel, since I can knit and spin and surf the nets, and there's very little actual work, and the actual work sometimes involves setting things on fire. Also, I get free dinner. And $100, since the pay is $10/hour. (Maybe I can make myself spend it on something frivolous, since most of my money, even when it comes from presents, usually turns into rent or groceries.) And
gleameil is going to come visit at some point and I'm going to teach her how to play Dominion.
So question for all the former Penn people: have any of you masgiached for 10 hours? (I think even Barry usually worked from 7ish to 4. Not quite 10 hours.)
And if you want to know how I got to be in such a situation, the answer is that all the undergrads have gone home for break, while I still live here. So people kept on needing coverage and I kept on volunteering, until I collected all the shifts and turned them into a 10 hour mashgiaching extravaganza.
